Job Summary

Our Award Winning Client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Mammography Tech to join the Memorial City Outpatient Breast Center team. This newly created position involves providing high-quality imaging services to patients in a compassionate and efficient manner. This role offers an opportunity to work with state-of-the-art technology and a committed healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Mammography Exams: Perform mammographic imaging on patients, ensuring adherence to all radiation safety protocols.
  • Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for examinations, explain procedures, and administer contrast when necessary.
  • Technical Quality: Select appropriate imaging techniques and ensure high-quality images are captured.
  • Data Management: Enter and monitor patient data accurately.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks on mammography equipment and assist with accreditation processes.
  • Incident Reporting: Report any accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to management.
  • Emergency Call: Take emergency calls within the department as required.
  • Adherence to Policies: Follow all Award Winning Client policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Professional Development: Engage in continuous education and skills competency to support professional growth.
  • Team Collaboration: Act as a mentor and resource to less experienced staff, promoting individual growth and departmental success.
  • Patient Care: Ensure safe care to patients, staff, and visitors by adhering to all policies and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity, and quality of service.

Qualifications

  • Education:

    • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
    • Graduate of an accredited Mammography Technology program.
  • Licenses/Certifications:

    • Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support.
    • Current or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT).
    • Registered Radiology Technologist (ARRT-R).
    • Registered Mammography Technologist (ARRT-M).
    • we will entertain a new graduate, if they already have Mammo Tech registry
  • Experience/Skills:

    • Ability to lift/maneuver patients with assistance.
    • Demonstrates a strong commitment to our Award Winning Client’s values, delivering innovative, compassionate care while promoting collaboration and accountability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a mammography technologist.
  • Experience working in an Outpatient Imaging Center.
