Our Award-Winning Client, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare services, seeks an experienced Manager Surgical Services RN to join the team at their Portland, OR location. Position OverviewThe Manager Surgical Services RN is accountable for the clinical and operational management of one or more patient care units within Nursing Services. This role is central to ensuring alignment with the mission, vision, and values of our client’s healthcare approach, focusing on quality care, team empowerment, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily management and leadership of surgical service units, ensuring alignment with patient care standards and organizational mission
  • Develop and implement policies and processes to enhance patient care quality, efficiency, and staff engagement
  • Collaborate closely with nursing leadership to drive operational excellence and patient-centered care within surgical services
  • Lead team members through direct oversight, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunities
  • Manage resource allocation and ensure optimal staffing levels to meet patient care demands

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing
  • Oregon Registered Nurse License upon hire
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association) upon hire
  • At least 3 years of clinical experience and recent first-line management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing or a related field

Skills and Certifications

  • Proven management experience in a clinical or surgical services setting
  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities to engage with staff, patients, and medical teams effectively
  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on patient safety, quality care, and regulatory compliance
