Our Award-Winning Client is actively seeking a Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health to join their team in Columbus, GA. This position will involve direct patient care for individuals facing psychiatric or behavioral health challenges. You will provide comprehensive nursing care aligned with the hospital’s patient care philosophy, ensuring a seamless transition of care across shifts and departments. You’ll be responsible for employing the nursing process and principles to create individualized care plans based on patients' needs.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver goal-oriented, patient-focused nursing care based on best practices and hospital protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to maintain continuity and quality of care.
• Engage in educational opportunities and professional development to enhance clinical skills.
• Ensure patient safety and support in high-stress environments, making quick decisions when necessary.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 1.5+ years of direct psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience.
• A valid Registered Nurse license in Georgia or a multi-state compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Handle with Care or CPI certification within 90 days of hire.

Candidate Details:The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 1.5 years of experience working in a behavioral health setting. Strong critical thinking and independent decision-making abilities are essential, along with the capability to thrive in high-stress situations. Your background should reflect a strong commitment to psychiatric care, ensuring the well-being and recovery of patients. Experience in a dedicated behavioral health facility is an advantage, and possession of relevant certifications like BLS and ACLS further strengthens your profile.
