Responsibilities:The Respiratory Care Clinical Specialist will be responsible for providing educational support and in-service training within the Respiratory Care Department, focusing on Neonatal and Pediatric care. This role involves delivering respiratory care, supervising clinical practices, and directing departmental operations. The specialist will develop and manage educational and competency programs, assess and organize staff assignments, and oversee the clinical rotation of respiratory care students. Direct patient care and oversight of Therapists will also be key duties. The position requires working 40 hours a week, with 10-hour shifts and a rotation every 6th weekend.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • At least 2 years of NICU/Pediatric experience required; 4 years preferred
  • 5 years of experience in respiratory care required
  • NRP Instructor preferred (must be obtained within 6 months of hire)

Certification and Licensure:

  • PA Respiratory Therapist License
  • CPR Certification
  • NBRC Respiratory Therapist Registered (RRT)
  • ACLS Certification
  • PALS Certification
  • NRP Certification (for Neonatal/Pediatric Clinical Specialist)
  • NPS Certification preferred

Required Skills:

  • Detail-oriented with strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word

Candidate Details:The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of respiratory care experience, including at least 2 years in NICU/Pediatric settings. A bachelor's degree is mandatory, while management experience is not required. This role demands excellent clinical skills and relevant certifications.
