Position Summary:The Security Development Operations (SecDevOps) Architect will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing web applications, command-line scripts, and other technical deliverables to strengthen the organization's Information Security framework. This role emphasizes agile methodologies and modern development practices, ensuring the creation of secure and scalable applications that support the security and operational goals of Our Award-Winning Client.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable web applications using Python and Node.js frameworks.
• Write clean, maintainable, and secure code, adhering to application security best practices.
• Develop APIs for integration with third-party systems, ensuring security and reliability.
• Create and implement user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Write efficient SQL queries for relational databases to support web application functionality.
• Conduct unit testing to ensure high code quality.
• Debug and resolve performance issues impacting web applications and scripts.
• Use Git or other version control systems to track and manage development activities.
• Collaborate in the DevOps environment, managing code repositories and facilitating team collaboration.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.
• Participate in technical workshops, code reviews, and collaborative sessions.
• Perform system administration tasks within Linux server environments.
• Regularly engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and identify opportunities for automation.
• Keep up to date with industry trends and new technologies relevant to web security development.
• Lead technical workshops and user-facing training sessions.
• Work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Professional certifications such as SEC401, Security+, or similar.
• At least 10 years of experience in web application development using Python and Node.js.
• Strong experience in writing command-line scripts in Python.
• Proficient in creating and integrating REST APIs.
• Extensive experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relational databases.
• Experience with Linux operating systems and configuring web applications.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical solutions to stakeholders and management.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with authentication mechanisms (e.g., two-factor authentication, federation platforms).
• Knowledge of networking and network security platforms (SIEM, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention, proxies, content filtering).
• Familiarity with cryptography, encryption, and data handling procedures.
• Experience with security operations orchestration platforms and infrastructure monitoring.

Candidate Profile:

• Over 10 years of experience in web application development, with specific expertise in the Django framework and Node.js (preferred).
• Strong background in application security best practices and code maintainability.
• Proficiency in creating, securing, and integrating APIs with third-party systems.
• Experience with DevOps, agile methodologies, and modern development tools.
• Excellent communicator, capable of leading technical discussions and conveying solutions to non-technical audiences.
