Director, Procurement Digital Solutions

Our Award-Winning Client, a nationally recognized organization with a proven track record of excellence, is seeking a visionary leader for the role of Director, Procurement Digital Solutions. This position offers the chance to shape and optimize procurement technology solutions for a dynamic and innovative company.

Position Summary

The Director, Procurement Digital Solutions will oversee the vision, strategy, and operational management of the Source-to-Pay (S2P) platform. The individual will lead efforts to optimize processes, ensure compliance, and align technology with organizational goals. Coupa serves as the primary platform, but expertise in comparable tools, such as Ariba, will also be considered. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, manage third-party providers, and drive innovation across the procurement landscape.

This role reports directly to the VP of Procurement Operations and Technology. While based in Hartford, CT, the position offers hybrid and remote work options. Remote candidates must reside in the EST time zone and commit to traveling to Hartford, CT, once per month.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for S2P solutions, balancing stakeholder priorities, market innovation, and organizational objectives.
  • Partner with third-party providers for application managed services, managing incidents, enhancements, and release processes.
  • Oversee release management, including requirements gathering, testing, development, and stakeholder communication.
  • Drive user adoption of S2P platforms and ensure compliance with procurement policies, audit standards, and SOX requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, IT, and strategic sourcing, to align technology capabilities with business needs.
  • Maintain high-quality procurement data and enforce data standards across the enterprise.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements, prioritize features, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics, driving continuous improvement.
  • Support integration of tax solutions to ensure accurate sales and use tax allocations.
  • Foster collaboration between Procurement Operations and Strategic Sourcing to ensure technology meets stakeholder needs.

Experience and Skills

Educational Level/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Business, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in Source-to-Pay (S2P) or Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, preferably within a large organization.
  • Expertise in managing Coupa or Ariba platforms is strongly preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of service-based architectures, event-driven solutions, and cloud-based technologies.
  • Direct experience with Coupa or Ariba applications, including application ownership.
  • Experience managing outsourced providers with a demonstrated track record of success.

Professional Skills

  • Proven ability to lead strategic initiatives within matrixed organizations.
  • Advanced knowledge of finance technology roadmaps and procurement processes.
  • Experience driving cultural and organizational change.

Interpersonal Skills

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
