The Chief of Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine will help shape the future of pulmonary care in an institution known for its nationally recognized programs and expertise.

Position Summary

The Chief of Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine will lead the clinical and operational aspects of the pulmonary department at our Award-Winning Client's Philadelphia campus. Responsibilities include strategic planning, staff mentoring, program development, and fostering innovation to advance the department's impact on the patients and community.

This role requires a balance of clinical excellence, leadership skills, and the ability to drive quality improvement initiatives in a dynamic, academic medical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily clinical and administrative operations of the department.
  • Develop and implement strategic policies and vision to enhance departmental performance.
  • Actively engage in patient care to model high-quality clinical practices.
  • Mentor, recruit, and manage clinical staff, including physicians and nurse practitioners.
  • Lead department-wide quality improvement initiatives and patient safety projects.
  • Foster collaboration to integrate clinical and academic excellence.
  • Design and implement educational and training programs for clinical staff.
  • Manage resources effectively to achieve departmental goals.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO with an unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license.
  • Board Certification in Pediatrics.
  • Graduate of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Residency and Pediatric Pulmonary Fellowship.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical pediatric experience in an outpatient setting.
  • At least 3 years of experience in leadership, program development, and change management.
  • Proven expertise in strategic planning, operational leadership, and mentoring.
