Position Summary

Our Award-Winning Client seeks a Chief of Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine to lead and enhance the pulmonary department's clinical and operational functions. The role involves strategic planning, staff mentoring, program development, and change management to create a lasting impact within the organization and the community it serves.

The Chief will oversee all daily clinical and administrative operations, lead quality improvement initiatives, and cultivate a collaborative, innovative environment for patient care and medical education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic growth and policy development for the department.
  • Actively engage in clinical practice to set a high standard of care.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop clinical staff, including physicians and nurse practitioners.
  • Manage physician and staff scheduling and assignments.
  • Oversee recruitment efforts to expand department capabilities.
  • Create and deliver practice-oriented educational initiatives.
  • Collaborate on quality improvement and patient safety projects.
  • Provide leadership for operational and resource management challenges.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical license in Pennsylvania.
  • Board Certification in Pediatrics.
  • Completion of ACGME-accredited Pediatric Residency and Pediatric Pulmonary Fellowship.
  • Proven leadership experience with at least 5 years in clinical pediatric practice and 3 years in a management or change-management capacity.
  • Strong background in program development, mentoring, and quality initiatives.
