About the Role

Our Award-Winning Client, a nationally recognized leader in manufacturing and production, is seeking a skilled CNC Maintenance Repair Technician for their Syracuse, NY location. This is a 2nd shift position with work hours from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. The position offers the chance to contribute to innovative manufacturing processes while working within a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive repairs of electrical and mechanical systems on CNC machinery, including teardown, troubleshooting, and reassembly, adhering to prescribed safety protocols.
  • Utilize knowledge of PLC logic and machine programming (Mcode/Gcode) to diagnose and resolve equipment issues effectively.
  • Perform precise adjustments to ensure equipment operates according to required specifications, followed by thorough functionality testing.
  • Analyze machine cycle sequences to identify and resolve malfunctions using advanced machine repair and electrical principles.
  • Execute electrical testing operations and troubleshoot defective printed circuit assembly boards as needed.
  • Interpret and apply complex ladder logic circuit diagrams, industrial motor control schematics, and blueprints for accurate diagnostics and repairs.
  • Engage in maintenance activities involving hydraulic systems, applying mechanical and electrical expertise.
  • Collaborate on additional tasks as directed to support team objectives.
  • Exercise sound judgment to follow detailed instructions or prescribed routines while making independent decisions as necessary.

Qualifications

Mandatory Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 3 years of documented CNC repair and maintenance experience in an industrial electrical/mechanical setting.
  • Proficiency in ladder logic circuit diagrams, industrial motor control schematics, and interpreting blueprints.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Residing within 50 miles of Syracuse, NY.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • 4+ years of CNC repair and maintenance experience in industrial electrical/mechanical settings.
  • Background in machining operations and electrical equipment repair.
  • A two-year degree in electronics with mechanical experience or relevant military electronics training.
  • Expertise in hydraulic systems and their maintenance.
