Director, Procurement Digital Solutions

Overview of the Position

As the Director, Procurement Digital Solutions, you will be responsible for overseeing and guiding the Source to Pay solution, including the management of the Coupa platform. Reporting to the VP of Procurement Operations and Technology, you will manage both the product vision and the day-to-day operations of the applications. Additionally, you will manage the third-party supplier relationship for Application Managed Services (AMS) that support the Coupa platform.

This role is essential in driving the digital strategy for procurement technology, collaborating with senior leadership, and ensuring alignment across the organization, particularly between Procurement Operations, Strategic Sourcing, and Technology teams. The position allows for a hybrid work schedule, with in-office presence required from Tuesday to Thursday at Our Client Headquarters. Remote candidates residing within the EST time zone will also be considered, with travel to the headquarters once a month.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership and Vision

• Develop and communicate the vision and strategy for the Source to Pay technology solution.
• Maintain a product roadmap, balancing both short- and long-term goals while adjusting priorities based on stakeholder needs, market trends, and technological advancements.
• Drive the adoption and optimization of the Source to Pay technology to improve and enable business processes.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Manage the outsourced Application Managed Services (AMS) provider, ensuring timely and effective support across incident management, work requests, enhancements, release management, and testing.
• Align the business roadmap with the Finance Technology roadmap, collaborating with Finance and Technology teams.
• Engage key stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize features, and ensure alignment with the overall procurement strategy.

Release Management and Continuous Improvement

• Lead release management activities, including requirements gathering, development/configuration, testing, and implementation of product updates.
• Monitor performance metrics to assess the success of the technology solution and drive continuous improvements.

Data Integrity and Compliance

• Ensure consistent and quality procurement data management across the organization.
• Ensure the Coupa system is compliant with audit and SOX requirements and aligns with the client’s procurement policy.

Cross-Department Collaboration

• Foster teamwork across Procurement Operations, Strategic Sourcing, and Technology teams to ensure the technology meets stakeholder needs.
• Work closely with the Data & Analytics team and the Operations Committee to maintain system standards and processes.
• Partner with the Tax team to integrate tax solutions supporting Sales & Use tax allocations.

Experience & SkillsEducational Background

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Business, or a related field.

Professional Experience

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise, application, and/or information architecture.
• Experience managing an outsourced provider, with a proven record of success.
• Service-based architecture, event-based architecture, or cloud-based computing experience.
• Experience with Source to Pay digital solutions (Coupa or Ariba experience preferred).
• Experience in leading strategic initiatives in a highly matrixed environment.

Compensation

The base pay for this role will be competitive and based on similar market positions, with adjustments based on performance and skillset. In addition to base pay, our client’s total compensation package includes bonuses, long-term incentives, and recognition programs.
