Part-Time Tier 1 Support Technician (On-Site – Film & Production Studio)

Location: Atlanta, GAType: Part-Time (On-site required, schedule may fluctuate based on production needs)

A premier film and television production facility in Atlanta is seeking a Part-Time Tier 1 Support Technician to join its on-site technical support team. This role involves providing hands-on IT support across studio office spaces, sound stages, and production environments. You'll assist internal staff and third-party production teams, ensuring their technology needs are met with professionalism and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Tier 1 support for on-site help desks including issue triage, basic troubleshooting, and escalation as needed

  • Offer technical support for live events, meetings, and internal studio projects

  • Manage onboarding and offboarding logistics for full-time staff and external production teams

  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for end users (macOS, Windows)

  • Support audiovisual and video conferencing systems throughout office and studio environments

  • Deliver face-to-face IT support with a proactive and customer-focused attitude

  • Replace or upgrade damaged/non-functional network hardware and peripherals

  • Conduct inventory counts of computers, accessories, printer supplies, and other assets

  • Perform basic network troubleshooting and low-voltage cable checks (Cat6/Fiber)

  • Maintain tidy and organized tech storage rooms and IDF closets

  • Provide network printer support

  • Work closely with studio operations coordinators to ensure smooth user experiences

  • Respond to team communications and escalations via Slack in a timely manner

  • Coordinate deliveries and pickups with internal users and external vendors

  • Collaborate with logistics teams to handle shipments and equipment returns

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in hands-on IT support (face-to-face/user-facing preferred)

  • Familiarity with inventory and asset management systems

  • Knowledge of ticketing systems and ability to document issues clearly and consistently

  • Basic understanding of networking and cabling (Cat6/Fiber)

  • A+ and/or Network+ certifications are a plus

  • Experience in studio, film, or media production environments is highly desirable

  • Strong communication and organizational skills
