We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team.  We are an SQF-certified industrial food production facility specializing in frozen dough.  As an Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing the electrical systems in this industrial setting in addition to mechanical maintenance duties as part of our maintenance team.  While electrical components will be your focus, the expectation is that you jump in and help with other maintenance duties as needed. 

 
Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment
  • Perform electrical wiring, conduit bending, and cable pulling
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide timely solutions
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations
  • Electrical Preventative Maintenance and Safety Tasks
  • Power feed installations and troubleshooting electrical issues
  • Fault and Failure electrical testing for diagnosis
  • PLC knowledge a plus
  • Keep accurate records of work performed
  • Performs preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis. Inspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filter, greases bearing, seals etc.
  • Completes daily, weekly and monthly checks on equipment and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
  • The maintenance tech is responsible for ensuring all facility repairs are completed in a timely manner.
  • Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required. Maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures and lot numbers.
  • Assists with renovation/remodeling of building repairs, painting, and new equipment installation.
  • May obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts, orders parts as need.
  • Maintains vendor relationships.
  • Follows company GMP policies.
  • Responsible for ensuring food safety, food quality and food defense.
 
Education and Experience:
  • Proven experience as an Electrician in industrial settings
  • Proficient in low voltage and high voltage electrical systems: 12-180VDC, 120-240VAC, and 208-230/460-480 3PVAC
  • VFDs and VFD Programming
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance.
  • Knowledge of parametric and industrial control systems.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment.
  • Good time-management skills.
