We are seeking a Certified Epic Dorothy and Comfort Analyst to join our healthcare IT team. This individual will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, optimization, and support of the Epic Dorothy and Comfort modules—focused on patient outreach, education, and comfort care coordination. The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of Epic workflows, understands the clinical and operational implications of the modules, and works collaboratively with clinicians and other IT staff to improve the patient experience.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Configure and support the Epic Dorothy (patient education and engagement) and Epic Comfort (palliative and supportive care) modules.

     

  • Collaborate with clinical and operational stakeholders to understand current workflows and identify optimization opportunities.

     

  • Build and maintain system components such as narratives, questionnaires, SmartForms, SmartTexts, Order Sets, and Flowsheets specific to Dorothy and Comfort modules.

     

  • Ensure compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and internal data governance standards.

     

  • Assist with go-live support build and fix issues.

  • Document configurations, workflows, change requests, and resolutions.

Key Qualifications: 

  • Epic Certification in Dorothy and/or Comfort modules (must be current or obtained within 6 months of hire).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Nursing, or a related healthcare or IT field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of Epic analyst experience, preferably in a clinical setting.
  • Solid understanding of clinical workflows in palliative, supportive, and patient engagement care.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
