Join a leading organization in the food and logistics industry as a Quality Assurance Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality leader to oversee and elevate the company’s Food Safety and Quality Management Systems across multiple sites in Guelph, ON.

The Quality Assurance Manager plays a key role in maintaining BRCGS, HACCP, GMP, and ISO 9001 compliance, managing audits, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This is a hands-on leadership position suited for someone who thrives in both operational and strategic environments.

 

Position Details

  • Location: Guelph, ON

  • Employment Type: Full-time, permanent

  • Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 per year, depending on experience

  • Additional: Performance-based bonus and comprehensive benefits

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and enhance the Quality Management System (QMS) to meet certification and customer standards.

  • Coordinate and participate in internal, external, and certification audits to maintain compliance.

  • Manage documentation, traceability, non-conformances, and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).

  • Ensure all BRCGS and HACCP documentation remains accurate and up to date.

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the Quality Assurance team, including training and performance management.

  • Partner with Operations, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams to resolve issues and ensure consistent product quality.

  • Oversee recall simulations, root cause investigations, and corrective actions to strengthen systems.

  • Analyze quality metrics to identify patterns, minimize risks, and support ongoing improvements.

  • Support management reviews, data reporting, and communication with certification and regulatory bodies.

 

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or related discipline.

  • Minimum 5–7 years of progressive QA experience in a BRCGS-certified or food-grade environment.

  • In-depth understanding of BRCGS, ISO 9001, HACCP, and GMP principles.

  • Demonstrated success in managing audits, QMS programs, and compliance systems.

  • Exceptional leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Certifications in HACCP, BRCGS Internal Auditor, or Lead Auditor are considered assets.

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using QMS or ERP software.
