Job Summary:

The Superintendent is responsible for coordinating installation schedules, overseeing field crews, and ensuring successful execution of all jobsite activities. This position plays a critical role in jobsite readiness, labor deployment, field quality control, and communication between internal teams and external partners. The ideal candidate brings strong construction knowledge, excellent leadership skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, field-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Labor Scheduling & Coordination:Develop and manage daily/weekly labor schedules for in-house installers. Adjust staffing as needed based on job progress, site conditions, or shifting priorities.
  • Jobsite Readiness & Logistics:Ensure job sites are ready by confirming delivery of materials, tools, and equipment; verify site access and resolve logistical barriers before installation begins.
  • Field Oversight & Support:Visit active job sites regularly to support crews, monitor productivity, troubleshoot issues, and ensure alignment with schedule and scope.
  • Team Supervision:Lead and supervise installation crews, ensuring accountability, performance, and adherence to company standards.
  • Quality Control:Oversee field installation quality, ensuring all work meets or exceeds client expectations and industry standards.
  • Installation Standards & Methods:

Ensure all products are installed according to manufacturer guidelines, project specifications, and industry best practices. Maintain a strong working knowledge of commercial flooring installation techniques, tools, and materials.

  • Client & Site Coordination:Maintain professional communication with general contractors, site supers, and clients regarding scheduling, access, or onsite concerns.
  • Safety & Compliance:Enforce company safety protocols and ensure all jobsites comply with OSHA, legal, and environmental regulations.
  • Field Reporting & Documentation:Provide regular updates to management and project teams; maintain accurate field reports, labor tracking, and jobsite documentation.
  • Budget Awareness:Support adherence to labor budgets through efficient crew scheduling and on-site productivity.
  • Risk Mitigation:Identify and address field-level risks or challenges that may impact job progress, safety, or crew performance.
  • Process Improvement:Identify recurring inefficiencies or obstacles in the field and recommend actionable improvements to optimize operations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial flooring field supervision.
  • Proven leadership in coordinating multiple field crews and managing installation logistics.
  • Familiarity with labor cost controls and scheduling systems.
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to read plans, scopes, and work orders.
  • Proficient in job documentation and report writing.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
