Sales Assistant (Oakville)

 

As part of our sales team, the sales assistant works closely with designated producers to review, underwrite, and bind coverage. The duties of the sales assistant include, setting up and sending the application for insurance to the customer. Review all underwriting documents, assist the customer with any questions, interact with the in-house underwriting team and confirm coverage for the customer. In addition, follow up for any outstanding documents we require to keep on file, or send to the insurance company. Review and answer any courier, memos, or questions for the insurance companies and/or the underwriting team.

 

Daily duties:

  • Receiving incoming calls to guide the clients in setting up new insurance packages
  • Send and receive both automobile, property and recreational applications using our electronic program
  • Ensure all documents are properly completed
  • Follow up with the clients for any missing documents.
  • Bind coverage once all documents are signed and received
  • Prepare automobile, property, and recreational packages to send out to the insurance companies
  • Respond to all incoming courier, mail and faxes during the new business process
  • Preferred knowledge of Power Broker, MS word and Excel
  • Must be RIBO licensed
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and able to adapt to changes.
  • This job requires the candidate to multi-task and prioritize their work

 

This position is full time, with employee benefits package, paid yearly licensed renewal and an opportunity to grow in the firm. The position is suited for a newly licensed RIBO individual, or someone who works in the industry and wants to pursue insurance as a career.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Computer Skills and other equipment:

MS Office Applications, Power Broker (preferred) Phone/Voice Mail, Applied Rating System

Work remotely

  • The office is closed to the general public and our staff are working remotely. Once the office opens, we will offer a remote hybrid working environment.
