Overview:

This role is tailored for a skilled engineer ready to make an impact through technical leadership, collaborative problem-solving, and process innovation. The ideal candidate will contribute to high-efficiency manufacturing systems while supporting cross-functional teams including R&D, maintenance, reliability, safety, and quality. You’ll be empowered to transform engineering processes, apply state-of-the-art tools, and drive strategic initiatives across the plant.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead development and setup of production processes by collaborating with departments such as research and development, production reliability, and operations.

  • Evaluate, redesign, and improve existing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and meet high standards for safety and quality.

  • Support capital projects from the process side, including input on design and equipment selection for new installations or upgrades.

  • Investigate and resolve production incidents, whether internal or customer-facing, applying structured problem-solving techniques.

  • Generate detailed documentation and operational instructions to ensure process repeatability and clarity on the shop floor.

  • Drive continuous improvement using tools like Six Sigma and Design of Experiments (DOE) to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

  • Act as a subject matter expert in plant technology systems, enabling knowledge transfer and implementation of best practices.

  • Provide on-the-floor support and engineering input to troubleshoot complex issues during production and quality control.

  • Collaborate closely with lean, maintenance, safety, and quality professionals to align engineering projects with company-wide goals.

  • Conduct engineering feasibility studies and contribute to long-term process standardization and reliability enhancements.

Required Technical and Professional Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another technical discipline (Master’s degree is a plus).

  • Proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or equivalent platforms.

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, thermodynamics, and materials science.

  • Hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering, process optimization, and technical problem-solving (3+ years minimum).

  • Familiarity with Six Sigma and engineering methodologies like DOE.

  • Project management capabilities, including the ability to lead cross-disciplinary initiatives.

  • Prior exposure to supervisory roles is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Physical ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly, with occasional lifting of over 55 pounds as required.
