Our Award-Winning Client, a leader in the manufacturing industry with a strong national presence, is seeking a Senior Graphic Technician to join their dynamic team in Alhambra, California. This in-plant position offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the customer’s ink blending operations and quality control processes in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
Shift: 6am to 2:30pm
As a Senior Graphic Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the ink blending and quality control processes within the customer’s plant. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that ink batches are blended accurately and in compliance with quality standards, while maintaining safety procedures and liaising between customers and company locations. This position is essential for coordinating color approval, troubleshooting press ink issues, and contributing to ongoing improvements in the production process.
Operate and maintain the Flint TPS Ink Management system, ensuring accurate blending of ink for customer processes.
Use Ink Master or related software to prepare and manage ink batches for jobs.
Maintain detailed records to document the performance and outcomes of ink blending operations.
Implement and monitor housekeeping and safety procedures within customer locations to ensure safe operations.
Follow quality control procedures, inspecting inks to guarantee they meet the specifications for press operations.
Coordinate the color approval process, ensuring the inks match customer expectations.
Troubleshoot and resolve press ink problems, serving as a liaison between the customer and the designated company location.
Ensure compliance with volatile organic compound schedules, generating necessary reports as needed (note: disposal of hazardous waste is the customer’s responsibility).
Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor, which may include responsibilities associated with a Graphic Technician role.
Ink Mixing expertise.
Experience in a fast-paced, flexographic press environment.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control.
Ability to work efficiently in a high-demand, customer-driven setting.
Experience with quality standards and troubleshooting ink-related issues.
Good communication skills for working as part of a team and coordinating with customers.
High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
1–2 years of relevant experience.
Full-Time position with full benefits starting on Day 1.
