They are currently seeking a talented Electrical Engineer II to join their dynamic team in Asheville, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a proven ability to manage multiple projects, offering an opportunity to work with cutting-edge systems and technologies within a thriving plant environment.
As the Electrical Engineer II, you will be responsible for supporting the plant’s electrical/electronic systems and control systems. You’ll play a key role in designing new control systems, upgrading existing ones, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and ensuring safety improvements within the plant. Working cross-functionally with various departments, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your expertise and lead in both technical and project management capacities.
Design, develop, and maintain electrical control systems to meet plant requirements, improving efficiency and safety.
Provide technical leadership and support to various departments, solving problems and providing guidance on electrical/electronic queries.
Document electrical systems through detailed wiring diagrams, schematics, and other technical drawings.
Develop and maintain code for control systems using Ladder Logic, BASIC, Excel Macros, and similar programming languages, ensuring clarity and traceability.
Assist with troubleshooting electrical systems, perform circuit design and analysis, and read/manipulate instruments for efficient problem-solving.
Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they meet deadlines, budgets, and safety standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, conducting formal meetings with agendas and minutes, and publishing meeting details.
Develop detailed technical documentation related to electrical/electronic systems within the plant.
Design, install, and maintain electronic systems, ensuring they are operational and meet performance standards.
Support plant safety systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective changes.
Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and Automation Direct PLCs expertise.
Proficiency with Panelview, Wonderware, FactoryTalk, Visual Basic, and similar technologies.
Strong understanding of control systems and industrial equipment logic.
Expert in AutoCAD for electrical system design and documentation.
Excellent troubleshooting skills, with a demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve electrical/electronic issues.
Solid knowledge of electrical standards, including circuit design and analysis.
Ability to write clear and concise programming code, ranging from Excel macros to PLC ladder logic.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to guide and train team members.
Critical thinking and strong problem-solving capabilities to navigate complex electrical challenges.
Advanced knowledge of mathematics and physics in relation to electrical systems.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering required.
Candidates with an Associate’s Degree must have documented plans to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree.
A minimum of 3–7 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, with specific expertise in electrical/electronic systems and control systems.
