A multidisciplinary design firm in the Mid-Atlantic region is seeking highly motivated Civil Engineers (4–10 years) and Project Managers (8–15 years) for their thriving Land Development practice in Chantilly, VA. This opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about shaping communities through sustainable and innovative site development.

This firm integrates civil engineering, landscape architecture, planning, security consulting, and surveying to provide cohesive and creative design solutions across both public and private sectors.

Project Scope:

Candidates will be engaged in a broad range of civil site development projects including:

  • Mixed-use / transit-oriented developments

  • Government and federal facilities

  • Commercial, office, and residential developments

  • Utility and infrastructure design

  • Mission-critical/data centers and related complex site engineering

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support civil site design including grading, stormwater management, erosion/sediment control, and utility design

  • Prepare and review plans, calculations, and technical documents in alignment with regulatory and project requirements

  • Coordinate with architects, contractors, subconsultants, and public agencies

  • Collaborate closely with internal multidisciplinary teams

  • Contribute to proposal preparation and client communication for mid- to large-scale projects

  • Mentor junior staff (for Project Manager roles)

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline

  • 4–10 years (Engineer) or 8–15 years (Project Manager) of relevant civil site development experience

  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D

  • Experience in site layout, stormwater, grading, and utility design

  • Familiarity with design standards for private sector clients and public/federal agencies

  • EIT or PE license preferred

  • Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills

  • Motivated team player with the ability to work independently or collaboratively
