We are seeking a highly motivated Presales Engineer with a well-rounded basic understanding of networking, servers, data storage, and IT security to join our team. This role will involve traveling to client sites approximately 65% of the time, conducting discovery calls with clients, and collaborating closely with our internal engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, technical expertise, and a customer-focused approach to sales.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct discovery calls with prospective clients to understand their technical requirements, challenges, and goals.
  2. Assess client infrastructure needs and propose appropriate solutions that align with their business objectives.
  3. Collaborate with the internal engineering team to design and develop customized solutions tailored to client requirements.
  4. Create technical proposals, presentations, and documentation to effectively communicate solution recommendations to clients.
  5. Provide technical expertise and guidance during the presales process, including product demonstrations and proof-of-concept deployments.
  6. Travel to client sites as needed (approximately 65% of the time) to conduct onsite assessments, meetings, and presentations.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and technical resource throughout the sales cycle.
  8. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive offerings.
  9. Pursue relevant certifications, with a focus on Microsoft and Cisco, to enhance technical knowledge and credibility.
  10. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support lead generation, customer engagement, and business development efforts.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
  2. 2+ years of experience in a technical presales or sales engineering role, preferably in the IT industry.
  3. Basic understanding of networking principles, servers, data storage, and IT security concepts.
  4. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  5. Ability to travel to client sites as needed (approximately 65% of the time).
  6. Experience conducting discovery calls and needs assessments with clients.
  7. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interface effectively with internal stakeholders.
  8. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or equivalent preferred.
  9. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  10. Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and value.
