Job Title: Level 1 Desktop Support Technician (Onsite – Part-Time)
Location: Chicago, ILSchedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (6-Week Engagement)Start Date: Immediate
Overview:We are seeking a reliable and technically proficient Level 1 Desktop Support Technician for a 6-week onsite engagement at a leading strategy consulting firm serving private equity and financial clients. The role involves providing first-level IT support within a Windows network environment, ensuring the smooth operation of user systems and resolving technical issues with professionalism and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide onsite desktop support to staff during business hours.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows OS, user profiles, hardware peripherals, printers, and network connectivity.
Support installation and configuration of software applications as needed.
Escalate complex issues to higher-level support or IT leadership.
Maintain clear documentation of support activities and issue resolutions.
Ensure consistent and courteous communication with end users.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in an IT support or help desk role.
Familiarity with Windows 10/11 environments and Microsoft 365.
Basic understanding of networking principles (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP).
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and reliably in a professional setting.
Experience in a financial or consulting firm environment is a plus.
