Job Title: Customer Service & Event Planner – Full-Time 
Shift: 7:30 am till 7:00 pm 
Rate: $25-$28
Location: Newmarket, ON

Position Summary:
We are seeking a passionate full-time Customer Service & Event Planner - who thrives in fast-paced, customer-focused environments and excited to contribute to the company vision of hospitality- to join our client's growing team. This is a dynamic role that combines front-line customer interaction with behind-the-scenes event coordination. The ideal candidate must have prior experience in the food service or hospitality industry, possesses basic accounting knowledge, and is comfortable with customer data analysis. They will also be responsible for entering and maintaining client information in the company internal database.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist customers in-store and by phone/email with enthusiasm and professionalism
  • Plan and coordinate in-house and off-site events, from birthdays and showers to corporate functions
  • Liaise with kitchen, décor, and service staff to ensure smooth event execution
  • Maintain and update client records in our secure customer database
  • Track bookings, manage deposits/payments, and issue invoices using basic accounting tools
  • Analyze customer trends and feedback to support marketing and business development efforts
  • Provide administrative support to the owner and event team as needed
  • Maintain a tidy, welcoming front-of-house environment at the café
Qualifications:
  • 1–2 years of experience in customer service, event planning, or hospitality (bakery/café experience a strong asset)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with accounting principles and invoicing software (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel)
  • Comfortable working with customer databases or CRMs
  • Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work both independently and collaboratively
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings during events
Desirable Assets:
  • Fluency in more than one language
  • Interest in culinary arts or food presentation
  • Experience with social media or event marketing
