ENERGY & INFRASTRUCTURE - INFRASTRUCTURE ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Our client, a prestigious Amlaw 50 firm, is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join their high-performing Energy and Infrastructure Practice Group in Washington, D.C., Houston, New York, or San Francisco. This is an exceptional opportunity for a mid-to-senior level attorney with extensive experience in infrastructure-focused transactions—including public-private partnerships (P3/PPP), project financings, and drop-down structures—to work on sophisticated matters involving high-profile energy and infrastructure projects.

 

 

Candidate Profile

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.

  • Active Bar Admission in applicable jurisdiction, in good standing.

  • 4–8+ years of substantive experience in infrastructure project development and finance, with a strong background in PPP transactions.

  • Experience representing equity sponsors, financing parties, and/or private sector participants in infrastructure-related matters. 

  • Demonstrated ability to draft and negotiate complex transaction documents related to project financings and asset transfers.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment with multiple stakeholders.

  • Collaborative team player with a client-service mindset.

  • Soft Skills: Excellent writing, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as a strong business acumen.
 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise clients—including sponsors, lenders, and other key stakeholders—in all stages of infrastructure transactions, from deal structuring to financial close.

  • Draft and negotiate project documents, concession agreements, equity arrangements, and financing documents.

  • Support public-private partnership transactions across various infrastructure sectors, including transportation, energy, and social infrastructure.

  • Provide strategic counsel on complex legal and regulatory issues related to domestic and international infrastructure investments.

  • Collaborate with cross-office and interdisciplinary teams to manage high-value transactions.

  • Engage directly with clients and contribute meaningfully to business development efforts.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Compensation: Includes an annual salary range of $310,000–$435,000, depending on experience and market factors, and eligibility for a discretionary bonus.
