Our client, a prestigious AmLaw 100 national law firm, is seeking a skilled mid-level Associate Attorney to join their Commercial Litigation Practice Group in Wilmington. This is an exciting opportunity for a Delaware litigator with experience in Chancery Court to handle high-profile cases for a diverse client base.

 

 

Candidate Profile

  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
  • Active Bar Admission in Delaware, in good standing.
  • 3+ years of substantive experience with commercial litigation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage all elements of complex litigation, including case work-up and trial preparation.
  • Extensive experience drafting and reviewing discovery and motions, handling depositions, negotiating settlements, and appearing in court.
  • Significant experience litigating in Delaware's Chancery Court.
  • Prior leading law firm or clerkship experience strongly preferred.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to contribute meaningfully in high-stakes, fast-paced litigation environments.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills; attention to detail; and teamwork are essential.
 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in high-level commercial litigation before Delaware’s Chancery Court, as well as Delaware Superior, Supreme, and District Courts.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs; manage discovery; and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Provide strategic counsel for settlement negotiations.
  • Collaborate with a strong team of litigators to develop effective litigation strategies.
  • Work directly with clients to provide excellent service and legal solutions tailored to their needs.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives, aiming to grow and support the firm's national practice.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Compensation: Includes an annual salary range of $230,000–$310,000, determined by experience and market factors.

  • Eligibility for a discretionary bonus.
