A leading AmLaw 50 firm is seeking a driven Associate Attorney to join its innovative Trademark & Advertising Practice Group. This is a compelling opportunity to work on the full range of trademark and advertising matters for innovative clients at the forefront of technology, media, and consumer products.

 

 

Candidate Profile

  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
  • Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction, in good standing.
  • 1–3 years of substantive experience in trademark, copyright, advertising, and/or Internet-related legal issues.
  • Demonstrated interest in trademark counseling, prosecution, enforcement, and IP-related transactional work.
  • Exposure to advertising counseling and disputes, domain name issues, social media policies, and emerging marketing practices is strongly preferred.
  • Enthusiasm for intellectual property law and the evolving digital marketing landscape.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and work collaboratively with clients and colleagues across offices.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, research, and writing skills are essential.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on trademark clearance, registration strategies, brand protection, and global portfolio management.
  • Draft and negotiate IP-related agreements including coexistence, license, and settlement agreements.
  • Manage domestic and international trademark prosecution matters, including office action responses and oppositions.
  • Counsel clients on advertising compliance, marketing claims, social media strategy, and influencer agreements.
  • Assist with enforcement actions, including cease and desist letters, UDRP domain disputes, and online takedowns.
  • Stay informed on legal developments affecting soft IP, online content, and digital marketing regulations.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Salary: $225,000 – $260,000, commensurate with experience and class year.

  • Discretionary merit bonus eligibility.
