Our client is a global leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance hydraulic pumps, motors, and valves for mobile and industrial machinery. We are seeking a Technical Outside Sales Account Manager to drive business growth across the Midwest region. This individual will be responsible for developing new customer relationships, managing key accounts, and providing technical sales support for the organizations product portfolio. The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge with proven sales acumen, thrives in a consultative selling environment, and can translate complex hydraulic solutions into customer value.
Develop and execute a regional sales strategy to grow revenue and market share.
Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with OEMs, distributors, and end users.
Manage and expand relationships with existing accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
Provide technical consultation on hydraulic systems, assisting customers with product selection, system design, and application troubleshooting.
Collaborate with engineering and product management teams to deliver customized solutions.
Conduct product demonstrations, training sessions, and technical presentations to customers and channel partners.
Track and report on sales pipeline, forecasts, and competitive activity in the region.
Represent the organization at trade shows, industry events, and customer visits.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field (preferred); equivalent technical experience will be considered.
3+ years of outside sales experience in hydraulics, fluid power, or industrial equipment markets.
Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, and related systems.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage a multi-state territory.
Willingness to travel regionally (50–70%).
