Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to lead business development efforts and manage customer relationships within a defined territory. This individual will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing new accounts, and managing key customer relationships in the conveyor and material handling systems market. The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial automation, conveyors, or related equipment, and excels in both strategic planning and hands-on sales execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a regional sales strategy to achieve revenue and profitability goals.

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities with OEMs, system integrators, distributors, and end users.

  • Manage and grow existing customer relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.

  • Provide technical sales support, including system layout discussions, equipment specifications, and application recommendations.

  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, and inside sales teams to deliver customized solutions.

  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, activity reports, and market intelligence for senior leadership.

  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer sites.

  • Travel throughout the assigned region (50–70%) to meet customers, provide onsite support, and drive business development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Business, or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of outside sales or account management experience in conveyors, material handling, automation, or capital equipment.

  • Proven ability to develop new accounts and close complex sales opportunities.

  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to interpret system layouts, CAD drawings, and equipment specifications.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to manage a multi-state territory independently.

  • Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
