About the Opportunity
Our client, a global leader in mobile hydraulic solutions, is seeking a skilled and motivated Mobile Hydraulic Applications Engineer to support their OEM customers across the Midwest. This role is focused on high-pressure hydraulic systems and will be responsible for providing technical expertise, system design support, and applications engineering for demanding mobile equipment applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fluid power, hydraulics, and mobile equipment system integration.

Key Responsibilities

Work directly with OEM customers to define, design, and optimize high-pressure hydraulic solutions for mobile equipment.
Provide technical support and guidance on system architecture, component selection, and integration of hydraulic products.
Perform system calculations, circuit design, and simulations to ensure safe and optimal performance under high-pressure conditions.
Collaborate with sales and product management teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer requirements.
Support prototype builds, testing, and troubleshooting of hydraulic systems on customer machines.
Provide training and technical documentation to customers, distributors, and internal stakeholders.
Serve as the technical liaison between engineering, manufacturing, and the customer.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Power Engineering, or related field (or equivalent technical experience).
3+ years of experience in hydraulic applications engineering, preferably with a focus on high-pressure mobile systems.
Strong knowledge of hydraulic circuit design, fluid dynamics, and system integration.
Familiarity with hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, manifolds, and electronic controls.
Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and testing hydraulic systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with customers and cross-functional teams.
Willingness to travel regionally within the Midwest to support customer projects.
