About the Opportunity
Our client, a global leader in mobile hydraulic solutions, is seeking a skilled and motivated Mobile Hydraulic Applications Engineer to support their OEM customers across the Midwest. This role is focused on high-pressure hydraulic systems and will be responsible for providing technical expertise, system design support, and applications engineering for demanding mobile equipment applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fluid power, hydraulics, and mobile equipment system integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work directly with OEM customers to define, design, and optimize high-pressure hydraulic solutions for mobile equipment.

  • Provide technical support and guidance on system architecture, component selection, and integration of hydraulic products.

  • Perform system calculations, circuit design, and simulations to ensure safe and optimal performance under high-pressure conditions.

  • Collaborate with sales and product management teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer requirements.

  • Support prototype builds, testing, and troubleshooting of hydraulic systems on customer machines.

  • Provide training and technical documentation to customers, distributors, and internal stakeholders.

  • Serve as the technical liaison between engineering, manufacturing, and the customer.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Power Engineering, or related field (or equivalent technical experience).

  • 3+ years of experience in hydraulic applications engineering, preferably with a focus on high-pressure mobile systems.

  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic circuit design, fluid dynamics, and system integration.

  • Familiarity with hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, manifolds, and electronic controls.

  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and testing hydraulic systems.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with customers and cross-functional teams.

  • Willingness to travel regionally within the Midwest to support customer projects.
