Our client, a global leader in mobile hydraulic solutions, is seeking a skilled and motivated Mobile Hydraulic Applications Engineer to support their OEM customers across the Midwest. This role is focused on high-pressure hydraulic systems and will be responsible for providing technical expertise, system design support, and applications engineering for demanding mobile equipment applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fluid power, hydraulics, and mobile equipment system integration.
Key Responsibilities
\nWork directly with OEM customers to define, design, and optimize high-pressure hydraulic solutions for mobile equipment.
\nProvide technical support and guidance on system architecture, component selection, and integration of hydraulic products.
\nPerform system calculations, circuit design, and simulations to ensure safe and optimal performance under high-pressure conditions.
\nCollaborate with sales and product management teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer requirements.
\nSupport prototype builds, testing, and troubleshooting of hydraulic systems on customer machines.
\nProvide training and technical documentation to customers, distributors, and internal stakeholders.
\nServe as the technical liaison between engineering, manufacturing, and the customer.
\nQualifications
\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Power Engineering, or related field (or equivalent technical experience).
\n3+ years of experience in hydraulic applications engineering, preferably with a focus on high-pressure mobile systems.
\nStrong knowledge of hydraulic circuit design, fluid dynamics, and system integration.
\nFamiliarity with hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, manifolds, and electronic controls.
\nHands-on experience with troubleshooting and testing hydraulic systems.
\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with customers and cross-functional teams.
\nWillingness to travel regionally within the Midwest to support customer projects.
