Customer Service Broker | Personal Lines  (Markham)

 

As a member of the Customer Service Team, you will help existing customers with policy changes and renewals.  Leveraging your soft and technical skills, you will work with the  team and insurance carriers, to ensure customer expectations are met and managed.  The goal is to deliver best in class customer experience.

Requirements:

  • Identify opportunities to cross sell with other insurance products. Record renewal dates for clients and follow up prior to renewal to ensure the policy continues to meet their needs
  • Set up abeyances to follow-up with clients for missing documentation
  • Review all renewals to make sure information is still accurate and shop the renewals to see if a lower premium can be obtained
  • Provide insurance consultation by recommending appropriate insurance coverage
  • Review all policy documents prior to the delivery to the client
  • Embrace the company's workflows and service level agreements
  • Generate temporary liability slips for all new business and endorsements
  • Create binder letters for lawyers for clients purchasing a new property. As well as for clients picking up new vehicles
  • Assist clients with their new and existing claims
  • Handle inquires via email and telephone from existing clients, underwriters and claim adjusters
  • Attend events/trade shows where a sales booth is set up and business cards and insurance sales information is handed out to the public
  • Keeping current on carrier underwriting, market place trends and continuous education
  • Participate in group marketing events

Skills:

  • Post-Secondary Education
  • Experience with TAM and EPIC is an asset
  • Prior customer experience training an asset
  • R.I.B. Ontario licensed mandatory
  • Over 1 year personal lines experience in sales or service
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask using digital procedures and technology
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Advanced written and verbal skills to help manage high customer expectations and to resolve conflicts
  • Ability to identify challenges and overcome them through problem solving and using a team player approach
 
Salary:  depending on experience
