Nurse Practitioner – Urgent Care

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join their Urgent Care team in Socorro, New Mexico. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced, supportive environment. Ideal candidates will have a Master's degree in Nursing, a valid DEA license, and at least two years of Emergency Room experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver urgent and acute care for a wide range of conditions across all age groups
• Evaluate patients, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and initiate treatment plans
• Collaborate with available physician resources as needed
• Demonstrate autonomy and confidence in clinical decision-making
• Maintain high standards of patient care in a dynamic environment

Schedule & Shift Details

• 1728 clinical hours per year
• 12 shifts/month, each 12 hours (11am–11pm)
• Approximately 30–35 patients/day
• No on-call duties – Physician support available on every shift

Qualifications – Required

• Master's degree or higher in Nursing
• Valid DEA license
• Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) license in New Mexico (NM)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Emergency Room or Urgent Care setting
