Qualifications

Required

  • Doctorate degree (MD or DO)
  • 2+ years of experience in ALL of the following:
    • PACE Experience
    • Geriatric Care
    • Physician (5+ years of total experience)
  • Valid Licenses/Certifications:
    • Medical Doctor (MD) license in California (CA)
    • Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration in California (CA)
    • Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) certification
    • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
    • Board Certification in relevant medical specialty
  • Proof of:
    • Valid California driver’s license
    • Personal transportation, a clean driving record, and auto insurance

Preferred

  • 1+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
    • Home Health
    • Complex Care
    • Internal Medicine
    • Palliative Care
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Prior experience as a Medical Director

Overview

As a PACE Medical Director at Our Award-Winning Client, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to seniors in a fast-paced and collaborative healthcare environment. You will oversee clinical operations, ensure quality standards, and foster strong interdisciplinary teamwork to improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure high-quality, cost-effective care for PACE program participants
  • Provide medical care, including evaluation, diagnosis, and management of medical conditions
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate healthcare staff
  • Oversee Quality Improvement and Performance Improvement Programs
  • Monitor utilization management trends and develop interventions to optimize patient health
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with community physicians and healthcare providers

Schedule and Shift Details

  • 40 hours per week
  • Must be 100% physically present at the clinic, in the community, or in participant homes as needed
  • Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (on-call possible)
