Our Award-Winning Client is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join their team in Vernal, UT. This full-time role involves providing comprehensive respiratory care, including ventilator management, diagnostic testing, and patient education. You will play a critical role in supporting both neonatal and adult resuscitation efforts while ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Perform a full range of respiratory therapy procedures, including administering aerosolized medications, managing ventilators, and providing airway clearance therapies.
Conduct arterial blood gas (ABG) draws, interpret results, and make necessary adjustments.
Deliver neonatal and adult resuscitation during emergencies.
Prepare and maintain patient care areas, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available.
Execute physician orders accurately and in compliance with clinical protocols.
Monitor patient responses to treatments and report any changes to the medical team.
Educate patients and families on respiratory care techniques, equipment use, and risk factors.
Required:
Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in Utah (or ability to obtain prior to hire).
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications within six months of hire.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications within six months of hire.
Respiratory therapy procedures: ABG analysis, SVN treatments, CPT, and ventilator management.
Emergency resuscitation techniques for neonatal and adult patients.
Patient education and risk assessment practices.
Equipment preparation and maintenance.
Collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
