Position Overview:

Our Award-Winning Client is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join their team in Vernal, UT. This full-time role involves providing comprehensive respiratory care, including ventilator management, diagnostic testing, and patient education. You will play a critical role in supporting both neonatal and adult resuscitation efforts while ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a full range of respiratory therapy procedures, including administering aerosolized medications, managing ventilators, and providing airway clearance therapies.

• Conduct arterial blood gas (ABG) draws, interpret results, and make necessary adjustments.

• Deliver neonatal and adult resuscitation during emergencies.

• Prepare and maintain patient care areas, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available.

• Execute physician orders accurately and in compliance with clinical protocols.

• Monitor patient responses to treatments and report any changes to the medical team.

• Educate patients and families on respiratory care techniques, equipment use, and risk factors.

Qualifications:

• Required:

  • Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in Utah (or ability to obtain prior to hire).

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications within six months of hire.

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications within six months of hire.

Skills & Technical Expertise:

• Respiratory therapy procedures: ABG analysis, SVN treatments, CPT, and ventilator management.

• Emergency resuscitation techniques for neonatal and adult patients.

• Patient education and risk assessment practices.

• Equipment preparation and maintenance.

• Collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
