Physician Assistant – Transplant Unit

Overview

Our client is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join their Transplant Unit. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care, coordinating with a multidisciplinary clinical team, and contributing to the ongoing care and recovery of transplant patients. It’s a unique opportunity to work in a specialized unit that values clinical excellence and collaborative care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in pre- and post-operative transplant patient management
  • Conduct comprehensive physical assessments, order and interpret diagnostics
  • Develop and implement patient treatment and care plans
  • Monitor transplant patients for signs of complications or rejection
  • Coordinate care with surgeons, physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary services
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure adherence to care protocols

Schedule & Shift Details

  • Full-time schedule
  • Specific shift expectations and on-call details will be discussed during the interview process

Qualifications – Required

  • Master’s degree or higher
  • Current and valid Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) license in the state of New Mexico (NM)
  • Experience in transplant medicine or acute care settings is highly desirable
