Specialist, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Engineering

Our industry-leading aerospace and defense client, recognized for cutting-edge communication systems, is seeking a Specialist in Integrated Logistics Support Engineering to support tactical radio and VSAT systems. This is a 9/80 schedule position, providing every other Friday off for optimal work-life balance.

As an ILS Engineer, you will provide strategic maintenance solutions across military, civilian, and international sectors. Your work will directly impact mission-critical projects through advanced data analysis, logistical modeling, and lifecycle planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver lifecycle logistics plans including:

    • Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA)

    • Level of Repair Analysis (LORA)

    • Spares provisioning and hardware maintainability data

    • Integrated Logistics Support Plans (ILSP)

  • Collaborate across engineering, publications, and product management teams

  • Analyze system reliability, availability, and supportability (RAM/ILS)

  • Prepare formal reports, data packages, and customer presentations

  • Recommend enhancements to logistics systems and engineering processes

  • Support Intermediate Maintenance Manual development alongside tech writers

  • Occasionally present findings to customers or internal stakeholders

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of ILS experience OR

  • Master’s degree with 2+ years of related experience OR

  • 8+ years of ILS experience in lieu of degree

  • Must be able to pass a background check and obtain U.S. Secret Clearance

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in electronics/radio communications systems (PRC, VSAT, AN/PRC models)

  • Deep understanding of RCM (Reliability-Centered Maintenance), provisioning, MAC, MTA, LORA

  • Advanced Excel skills; Power BI knowledge a plus

  • Lean Six Sigma certification or CI background

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a passion for detailed data-driven analysis

  • Collaborative work style with experience working across departments

  • Skilled in interpreting engineering documentation and logistics data
