Physician Assistant – Emergency Medicine

Overview

Our client is actively seeking a Physician Assistant (PA-C) with Emergency Medicine experience to join their dynamic care team. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver fast-paced, high-quality care to patients of all ages in a well-supported emergency department setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive emergency care, including assessments, diagnostics, and treatment planning
• Manage acute and urgent care cases independently, with access to physician support
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including labs and imaging
• Oversee patient disposition, including hospital admission, discharge, and referral coordination
• Provide patient education, manage symptoms, review reports, refill medications, and monitor ongoing health maintenance

Schedule & Shift Details

• 1,728 clinical hours annually
• 12x 12-hour shifts/month (11:00 AM – 11:00 PM)
• 30–35 patients/day
• No call – a physician is available on every shift

Qualifications – Required

• Master’s degree or higher in Physician Assistant studies
• Valid Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) license in New Mexico (NM)
• Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room (ER) or urgent care setting
