Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner

Overview

Our client is seeking a skilled and confident Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department. This role offers a stable schedule, collaboration with physicians, and the opportunity to treat a wide range of acute and urgent care patients.

Qualifications – Required

  • Master’s degree or higher in Nursing
  • Valid DEA license (federal and state)
  • Board Certification (e.g., ANCC)
  • 2+ years of emergency room experience preferred

Active Nurse Practitioner License in New Mexico, with one of the following:

  • Nurse Practitioner (NP – NM)
  • Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP – NM)

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently manage the full patient care continuum for urgent and acute cases in the ED
  • Collaborate with onsite physicians and clinical teams as needed
  • Demonstrate strong clinical judgment and confidence in patient care decisions
  • Provide care for patients of all ages across various acuity levels

Schedule & Shift Details

  • 1728 clinical hours/year
  • 12 x 12-hour shifts/month (11:00 AM – 11:00 PM)
  • Patient Load: Approximately 30–35 patients/day
  • Call Schedule: No call
  • Team Support: A physician is present during every shift
