Commercial Lines Account Manager, Transportation

We are seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager, Transportation to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll provide exceptional day-to-day service to our Commercial Transportation clients — supporting their success while contributing to the growth and strength of our brokerage.

You’ll act as a trusted advisor, ensuring that every interaction demonstrates professionalism, technical expertise, and genuine care for the client’s business and risk management needs.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee the day-to-day servicing of a commercial transportation portfolio, managing client relationships with professionalism and efficiency.

  • Prepare and issue Certificates of Insurance, binders, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations.

  • Process invoices, MVRs, driver abstracts, CVORs, and other transportation-related documentation.

  • Review and analyze client coverage, exposures, and loss experience to recommend appropriate products and solutions.

  • Support Producers and Customer Service Brokers with client inquiries and rush assignments.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all client, carrier, and internal communications.

  • Provide timely responses to insureds’ questions regarding coverage, policy details, and premium payments via phone, email, and written correspondence.

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of each client’s business, ensuring their insurance program aligns with their unique operational risks and goals.

What You Bring

  • Minimum 1 year of Commercial Lines experience, preferably within a brokerage or insurance company.

  • R.I.B.O. license required (or working toward completion).

  • Working toward C.I.P. or C.A.I.B. designations is considered an asset.

  • Post-secondary education in a related field (college or university level).

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients and colleagues.

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational ability.

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and insurance broker management systems (experience with [insert specific system, if applicable]).

  • A team-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
