POSITION OVERVIEW:

 

Our client, a leading law firm with a commitment to excellence and innovation, is seeking an IT Regional Trainer to develop, design, and implement technology learning initiatives for firmwide and office-wide users. This role will provide instruction on various technology applications, both general and legal-specific, through classroom, remote, and individual training sessions. The IT Regional Trainer will also serve as a key member of IT project teams, contributing to testing, documentation, and the rollout of new technology solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • ·       Develop, promote, and deliver training programs, including New Hire IT Training, to firm employees.
  • ·       Collaborate with IT staff and other key administrative and legal leaders to determine end-user training priorities and strategies.
  • ·       Administer training logistics using a Learning Management System (LMS), including scheduling, maintaining attendance records, and evaluating training effectiveness.
  • ·       Create comprehensive training plans and develop course materials to support training sessions.
  • ·       Manage class environments by motivating participants, maintaining control, and ensuring program objectives are met.
  • ·       Participate in IT project teams, providing input on technology rollouts and upgrades by evaluating, testing, and marketing new applications.
  • ·       Design and develop online learning modules to supplement instructor-led programs and other IT initiatives.
  • ·       Provide software support for end-users with software-related questions.
  • ·       Prepare activity and progress reports related to training programs and project activities.
  • ·       Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 

·       Experience:

  • ·       Minimum of 5 years of corporate training experience, including classroom and e-learning instruction.

 

·       Skills:

 

  • ·       Strong organizational, communication, and writing skills.
  • ·       Excellent presentation and platform skills.
  • ·       Strong technical coaching and counseling skills, with the ability to influence others and achieve objectives.
  • ·       Expert-level proficiency with the MS Office Suite and desktop productivity software.
  • ·       Familiarity with legal industry-specific software (e.g., Document Management Systems) is preferred, with the ability to learn in-house developed software.

 

Education:

 

  • ·       Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.

 

Physical Requirements:

 

·       Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.

·       Moderate or advanced keyboard usage.

·       Standard hours of work: Monday through Friday. Some late nights and weekends may be required.

·       Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds at times.

·       Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
