POSITION SUMMARY: 

 

We are currently seeking a Senior HR Generalist to join our dynamic Human Resources team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Senior HR Generalist will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the HR department, supporting key programs and policies including talent acquisition, retention, employee relations, and change management initiatives. This role involves project management for core HR processes, compliance reporting, and supporting the talent management system. The ideal candidate will be highly self-motivated and comfortable working independently or as part of a team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Evaluate current HR processes and recommend improvements across all areas of human resources.
·       Resolve day-to-day employee inquiries and concerns, acting as the first point of contact for employees and management.
·       Collaborate with the HR team to implement and improve programs, policies, and processes.
·       Administer HR tools such as Halogen and manage compensation communication.
·       Maintain compliance with HR-related regulations and policies.
·       Administer benefits including LOA/FMLA, 401k, and Alternative Work Arrangements.
·       Support talent acquisition efforts through campus recruiting, summer internship programs, and employee retention strategies.
·       Conduct onboarding and offboarding processes in collaboration with HR team members.
·       Assist the Director of HR in DiSC and Impact Coach training.
·       Draft performance improvement plans and employee counseling documents for the Director of HR.
·       Mentor HR Coordinators informally, providing guidance and support.
·       Compile data from various sources and prepare reports for analysis as requested.
 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or HRCI-PHR.

 

Education and Experience: 

·       Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
·       5-7 years of experience as an HR Generalist.
·       Strong communication, presentation, and client relationship skills.
·       Ability to work independently or as part of a team; highly self-motivated.

 

Physical Requirements: 

·       Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
·       Must be able to lift and move up to 25 – 50 pounds at times. 
·       Standard hours of work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, however evening and weekend hours may be required.
