POSITION OVERVIEW:

 

Our client, a leading law firm with a commitment to excellence and innovation, is seeking a a detail-oriented Case Clerk for its Tampa office. The Case Clerk will play a vital role in supporting the attorneys and paralegals within the practice group by managing legal documentation, handling electronic filings, and providing general case support. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to expand their experience in a legal environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • ·       Electronic Filing: Manage and execute electronic filings with courts.
  • ·       Document Retention & Organization: Assist with the retention, organization, and management of legal documents.
  • ·       Case Management & Tracking: Maintain and track case records, updates, and deadlines.
  • ·       Data Entry: Accurately input and update data in various legal databases and systems.
  • ·       Research & Analysis: Conduct research to assist attorneys and paralegals in case preparation.
  • ·       Correspondence: Draft and distribute internal and external correspondence, including memos, emails, and letters.
  • ·       Support for Attorneys and Paralegals: Provide general administrative support to the practice group, including assisting with the preparation of legal documents and maintaining files.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • ·       Legal Knowledge: Some knowledge of legal terminology is required.
  • ·       Multitasking & Prioritization: Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workloads effectively to meet deadlines.
  • ·       Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • ·       Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • ·       Dependability: A dependable, reliable team player who can work independently or as part of a group.

 

Experience:

  • ·       Minimum of 2 Years of Experience: Prior experience in a law firm is preferred and highly recommended.
  • ·       Document Management: Familiarity with iManage or other document management systems is preferred.

 

Physical Requirements:            

 

·       Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.

·       Moderate or advanced keyboard usage.

·       Standard hours of work: Monday through Friday. Some late nights and weekends may be required.

·       Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds at times.

·       Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
